open the Wave guide definition window.
A waveguide is activated if one of the check boxes (Rectangular, Circular, Coaxial) is selected. A new waveguide can be created by clicking on the « New » icon.
For the Rectangular and Circular waveguide :
These three points define a propagation direction (the z axis in the example shown by pictures in the window). This direction must be oriented towards the waveguide inner structure.
The expert's tip :
The source position, size and orientation can (and should !) be checked using the Visualization tool.
For the coaxial waveguide, the window is slightly different :
It's the same as the rectangular and circular waveguide except for :
Note : Only one kind of source must be selected : Plane wave, Source Point, Radar Cross Section, Voltage Source or Wave Guide. If you select a wave guide, other selected sources will be disabled. A warning will be displayed.
The expert's tip :
A waveguide is an advanced way to feed an antenna. Check the examples section to see some applications of this feature.
